SASE combines network (Secure Access) and security functions (Secure Service Edge (SSE) in the cloud. This makes it possible to provide seamless, secure access to applications, regardless of where the user is working. The advantages of the SASE model are, according to a large number of studies, primarily due to the cooperation with a single provider. Cisco combines first-class network, security and observability functions to ensure flexible and comprehensive protection. With Umbrella, Cisco offers all the building blocks of a SASE architecture, combined in a single offering. This course introduces the elements of the Secure Service Edge (SSE) such as Secure Web Gateway, Cloud Delivered Firewall, Cloud Access Security Broker and DNS Security, and their deployment through Cisco Umbrella. Design aspects as well as practical implementation and licensing issues will be addressed in detail. Each participant can administer their own organization in the multi-tenant lab.

Hybrid training
- Hybrid training means that online participants can additionally attend a classroom course. The dynamics of a real seminar are maintained, and the online participants are able to benefit from that. Online participants of a hybrid course use a collaboration platform, such as WebEx Training Center or Saba Meeting. To do this, a PC with browser and Internet access is required, as well as a headset and ideally a Web cam. In the seminar room, we use specially developed and customized audio- and video-technologies. This makes sure that the communication between all persons involved works in a convenient and fault-free way.
