AWS (Amazon Web Services) offers a range of certifications. There is a three-tier system consisting of Practitioner, Associate and Professional. There are also specialty certifications for specific applications and special topics.

With an AWS certification, you can demonstrate your knowledge of the digital world. Acquire new technical skills and knowledge of the AWS Cloud! But which certification is right for you?

AWS Certification: Practitioner Level

The basis of the AWS certifications is the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. It is recommended that you attend a one-day introductory course. You should have at least six months of basic experience with the AWS Cloud. Relevant industry knowledge is also recommended. Special technical skills are not required. You will then take the corresponding Cloud Practitioner exam. You will then receive your certificate.

AWS Certification: Associate Level

The entry level is followed by the associate level. There are three different thematic orientations here:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
  • AWS Certified Developer - Associate
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate

To earn an Associate status from Amazon Web Services, you should attend the underlying course. For example, if you want to become an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, then listen to the Architecting on AWS course. This will give you the skills and knowledge around your AWS Solution that you need.

It is recommended that you have at least one year of experience solving problems in the AWS Cloud. As a further service, we offer you additional workshops. This will prepare you for the questions in the certification exam.

AWS certification: Professional Level

The highest level is the Professional Level. There are currently two levels:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional

A course is also recommended for the Professional level. We also offer exam workshops as an additional service. This will prepare you optimally for the questions in the certification exam.</p

To achieve Professional status, you should have at least two years of extensive experience in developing new applications and operating them in the AWS Cloud. Problem solving and troubleshooting skills are the focus of the certification.

For the Professional Level, it is not mandatory to have the certifications from the Practitioner or Associate Level. However, it is recommended.

For all AWS exams, it is best to register at aws.training. There you can schedule your certification exam. The exams are conducted either by PSI or by Pearson VUE. They are digital exams (online or in an exam center).
