In this course, students will learn how to implement automated security solutions, including programming concepts, RESTful API's, data models, protocols, firewalls, web, DNS, cloud and email security, and Cisco ISE.
The goal of the course is to highlight the tools and benefits of utilizing programmability and automation in Cisco Security Solutions. Platforms studied include the Cisco Firepower Management Center, Cisco Firepower Threat Defense, Cisco ISE, Cisco pxGrid, Cisco Stealthwatch Enterprise, Cisco Stealthwatch Cloud, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco AMP, Cisco Threat Grid, and Cisco Security Management Appliances. In this course, you will learn how to use the API for each Cisco security solution and for specific applications when the API benefits the security contexts.

- Describe the overall architecture of Cisco security solutions and the use of APIs to enable security
- Get to know the use of Cisco Firepower APIs
- Explain how pxGrid APIs work and their benefits
- Understand features offered by Cisco Stealthwatch APIs and API requirements for configuration changes and monitoring purposes
- Describe the features and benefits of using Cisco Stealthwatch Cloud APIs
- Use the Cisco Umbrella Investigate API
- Explain the functionality of Cisco AMP and its APIs
- Describe the use of Cisco Threat Grid APIs to analyze, search for and dispose of threats
You will receive the original course documentation from Cisco in English language as a Cisco E-Book. In the Cisco Digital Learning Version, the content of the courseware is integrated into the learning interface instead.

Hybrid training
- Hybrid training means that online participants can additionally attend a classroom course. The dynamics of a real seminar are maintained, and the online participants are able to benefit from that. Online participants of a hybrid course use a collaboration platform, such as WebEx Training Center or Saba Meeting. To do this, a PC with browser and Internet access is required, as well as a headset and ideally a Web cam. In the seminar room, we use specially developed and customized audio- and video-technologies.
