CCDE

Candidates for the CCDE Design must demonstrate their extensive practical experience in designing network solutions with Cisco components in a one-day practical exam. In contrast to the Lab Exams, this is not about configuring or troubleshooting devices in a test network, but about solving design tasks based on customer requirements. This takes place within the framework of a PC-based simulation. The requirements and other information are provided in the form of e-mails, network sketches and other documents, and the candidate is guided step by step through the subtasks. Only candidates who have passed the CCDE Written Exam are admitted to the Practical Exam.

Course Contents

The course focuses on practical preparation for the CCDE Practical Exam 3.0. Contents include

• Collecting, clarifying and evaluating requirements for a network
• Deriving functional specifications from the requirements
• Creating a network design from the functional specifications
• Planning the implementation of design changes
• Justifying design decisions and technology selection

Selected information on the relevant content and the scenarios worked on will be provided for the CCDE workshop.

Target Group

This extremely practice-intensive CCIE seminar has been specially developed to prepare for the CCDE Design Practical Exam and is therefore aimed exclusively at participants who wish to take the CCDE exam.

Knowledge Prerequisites

The CCDE certification requires comprehensive knowledge across the worlds of voice and video communication, data networks and storage. Several years of practical experience in network planning is usually required. Successful participation in the Written Exam, which is required for admission to the Practical Exam, is a prerequisite for this preparation course.

 

The Practical Exam is booked by the participant directly with Cisco.
