With a Versa certification, you receive an industry-approved qualification in the field of modern SD-WAN networks. This award confirms your professional competence in dealing with the central technologies that characterize today's enterprise networks. The program is divided into several certification levels, allowing you to expand your expertise step by step and follow a clear, structured career path in SD-WAN and SASE.

The Versa certification program is divided into three main levels in the SD-WAN track: Associate, Specialist and Professional.

Versa Certified SD-WAN Associate (VNX100)

No formal prior knowledge or certifications are required for the Associate level. However, approximately 3-6 months of hands-on experience with SD-WAN and basic knowledge of networking and WAN/SD-WAN technologies is recommended.

In addition, you can prepare yourself through self-study with the following free courses from the Versa Academy: Versa Essentials, Versa SD-WAN Basics, Versa Policy Basics, Versa Secure SD-WAN Provisioning.

Afterwards, the VNX100 exam can be taken at the Kryterion Testing Center to achieve the Versa Certified SD-WAN Associate certification.

The Associate Level is aimed at network engineers, IT administrators and newcomers to SD-WAN who want to acquire a sound basic knowledge of overlay/underlay networks, VPN technologies, components of the Versa platform as well as monitoring, QoS and traffic control.

Versa Certified SD-WAN Specialist (VNX300)

The prerequisite is passing the Associate level (VNX100). In addition, at least one year of practical experience in setting up, operating or planning Versa SD-WAN platforms is recommended.

To prepare for the exams, you will need to study in-depth topics such as underlay/overlay technologies, network topologies, QoS, traffic steering and security services. For your preparation, we recommend our Versa training courses:

If you have prepared accordingly, you can take the VNX300 exam at the Kryterion Testing Center to earn the Versa Certified SD-WAN Specialist certification.

This certification level is aimed at more experienced network/SD-WAN engineers who take on architecture, engineering or planning tasks - for example as a solution architect, network administrator or consultant who designs, deploys and supports the Versa solution.

Versa Certified SD-WAN Professional (VNX400)

The prerequisites are successful certification at both the Associate level (VNX100) and the Specialist level (VNX300). You should also have 6-12 months of hands-on experience configuring and managing a Versa SD-WAN solution.

If you meet the requirements, you can take the VNX400 exam at the Kryterion Testing Center to achieve the Versa Certified SD-WAN Professional certification.

This certification level is designed for senior network/SD-WAN engineers, architects and consultants who design, implement and operate complex, distributed SD-WAN and SASE solutions using the Versa platform and take a leadership role in doing so.

Note: We have a Kryterion Testing Center at our Training Center Frankfurt/Dietzenbach, so you can also take the exam at our premises.

Badges for the Versa certifications

With every successfully completed Versa Networks certification exam, you will not only receive a classic certificate, but also a digital badge via the Credly platform. On a badge profile, viewers can find the level you have achieved, the competencies certified and the date of issue. The badge thus provides sustainable and modern proof of your qualification in the SD-WAN environment.

Validity and recertification of Versa certifications

Versa certifications are valid for two years from the date of issue. Recertification is required to maintain the status. This can be done by passing the same exam at the current level or by passing an exam at a higher certification level. In this way, you ensure that your knowledge remains up to date in the rapidly changing SD-WAN context.
