Ansible is an IT automation platform, which helps to implement and orchestrate applications and systems more conveniently. The course at hand explains and tries out the complex options, which Ansible has to offer. In addition to the complex Jinja2 templates, application environments and network components are to be orchestrated. In this context, it is important also to mention topics like lookups, error handling, and Ansible Vault. By means of hands-on exercises taken from real life, this course treats best practices and approaches to the development of complex Ansible roles and Jinja2 templates. In addition to imparting theoretical knowledge, all ideas will be implemented in practice-related mode.

Knowledge Prerequisites

A basic understanding of Ansible, Compute, Network, and Storage are requirements for a successful attendance. Linux know-how is desirable, but not mandatory. In addition, the students should have the know-how imparted in the course Ansible—Automation of Applications and Infrastructure.

Hybrid training
- Hybrid training means that online participants can additionally attend a classroom course. The dynamics of a real seminar are maintained, and the online participants are able to benefit from that. Online participants of a hybrid course use a collaboration platform, such as WebEx Training Center or Saba Meeting. To do this, a PC with browser and Internet access is required, as well as a headset and ideally a Web cam. In the seminar room, we use specially developed and customized audio- and video-technologies. This makes sure that the communication between all persons involved works in a convenient and fault-free way.
