Students will be introduced to network management and visibility using the Extreme Networks management tool, Extreme Cloud IQ-Site Engine (XIQ-SE). Using the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Network Management Model (NMM), students have these concepts reinforced with a hands-on lab experience working with a pre-configured network. Students will perform real world tasks around the areas of installation and basic configuration of XIQ-SE. Network visibility of devices and device configuration tools are discussed.

Knowledge Prerequisites

Students should possess an understanding of network fundamentals, and general network management concepts, as well as network security concepts and technologies.
In addition, Extreme Networks recommends the following courses prior to enrolling in the XIQ-SE courses:
- Campus Switching
- Extreme Cloud IQ – Controller or Wireless Core
A mandatory prerequisite for the subsequent exam of this course is the completion of the Welcome Series Meet ExtremeCloud IQ - Site Engine and the corresponding Associate Certification.
