5G Evolution Part 2

Last Steps Towards 6G (Rel. 18, 19 & 20)

ExperTeach Networking Logo

After the 5G launch with 3GPP Release 15, the flexibility and performance of 5G were significantly increased with Release 16 & 17. With 5G Advanced, 3GPP is continuing on the evolutionary path towards 6G. 5G Advanced refers to 3GPP Releases 18, 19 and 20, before the basics of 6G are standardized with Release 21.

In 5G Advanced, the 5G radio interface New Radio, the 5G core and radio access network as well as the 5G services will be successively developed further to achieve higher performance, flexibility and efficiency.

This course shows how the 5G evolution will be continued in Rel. 18, 19 & 20, how central features will be further developed, new ones added and thus successively prepared for 6G. Finally, the requirements for the future generation of mobile communications IMT-2030 are explained and the current status of work on and considerations for 6G are outlined.

Target Group

This 5G training is aimed at all those who are already familiar with initial 5G (3GPP Release 15) and the evolutionary steps of 5G in Release 16 & 17 and now want to learn about the further evolution of 5G towards 6G.

Knowledge Prerequisites

Good 5G knowledge, corresponding to the courses 5G Mobile Radio - Architecture & Radio for Public & Private Networks and 5G Evolution Part 1 - First Evolutionary Steps (Rel. 16 & 17) is essential. This training deepens and expands on the content of the course 5G Evolution Part 1 - First Evolutionary Steps (Rel. 16 & 17) and therefore requires the knowledge imparted there.

Classroom training

Do you prefer the classic training method? A course in one of our Training Centers, with a competent trainer and the direct exchange between all course participants? Then you should book one of our classroom training dates!

Hybrid training

Hybrid training means that online participants can additionally attend a classroom course. The dynamics of a real seminar are maintained, and the online participants are able to benefit from that. Online participants of a hybrid course use a collaboration platform, such as WebEx Training Center or Saba Meeting. To do this, a PC with browser and Internet access is required, as well as a headset and ideally a Web cam. In the seminar room, we use specially developed and customized audio- and video-technologies. This makes sure that the communication between all persons involved works in a convenient and fault-free way.

Online training

You wish to attend a course in online mode? We offer you online course dates for this course topic. To attend these seminars, you need to have a PC with Internet access (minimum data rate 1Mbps), a headset when working via VoIP and optionally a camera. For further information and technical recommendations, please refer to.

Tailor-made courses

You need a special course for your team? In addition to our standard offer, we will also support you in creating your customized courses, which precisely meet your individual demands. We will be glad to consult you and create an individual offer for you.
