The Extreme Networks Partner Program comprises three membership levels: Diamond, Gold and Authorized. This program specifies, among other things, which certifications the partners must complete in order to reach the respective level.
Associate Level - Extreme Certified Associate
This level is designed for participants who are new to networking and are not yet familiar with Extreme Networks products. You will gain an introductory understanding of key networking concepts, products and solutions, providing a solid knowledge base on which to build.
The certification level includes a Video On Demand Training, which is available free of charge via the Extreme Academy (formerly ExtremeDojo™). Afterwards, the corresponding exam can be taken (free of charge) and leads to the first certification: Extreme Certified Associate.
NEW Administrator Level - Extreme Networks Certified Administrator
The Installation & Configuration and Troubleshooting courses can be used to obtain certification as an Extreme Networks Certified Administrator. After attending the courses, certification can be achieved by means of an additional lab assessment (dates bookable via Extreme Academy, subject to a fee).
Professional Level - Extreme Certified Professional
The Professional Level is aimed at people who require in-depth knowledge of network configuration, deployment, management and troubleshooting. At this level, you will develop your practical skills for installing and maintaining networks. To do this, you must attend the Installation & Configuration, Management, Advanced Configuration and Troubleshooting courses in the relevant subject track. Only then will you be able to take the Extreme Certified Professional certification. This certification can be achieved by means of an exam (free of charge via the Extreme Academy) and an additional lab assessment (dates can be booked via the Extreme Academy, subject to a fee).
Recertification of the Extreme Networks certifications
The recertification of the Extreme Networks certifications takes place after 3 years. You do not have to attend all previous courses again. With free video material from Extreme Networks, you can stay up to date with updates and take the certification again.
