Recertification for holders of the T.I.S.P. certificate must take place no later than the end of the fourth year after the last certification. After that, recertification is no longer possible. The certificate is extended for three years from the date of expiry.
The applicant does not have to take an examination for recertification. The T.I.S.P. holder must provide suitable proof of further training and continuous employment in the field of IT security and enclose the relevant evidence with the application. The Bundesverband IT-Sicherheit e.V. (TeleTrusT) has confirmed that ExperTeach GmbH has approved some courses from the security portfolio for recertification of the T.I.S.P. certificate.
