Cisco is introducing a new certification path for wireless technologies in March 2026. The path includes professional- and expert-level certifications that teach practical skills for designing, deploying, and managing advanced wireless networks. The new CCNP Wireless exams include the wireless content previously included in CCNP Enterprise, while the CCIE Wireless practical exam now includes Cisco Meraki as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7. The CCNP Wireless certification validates advanced knowledge and practical skills in designing, implementing, and managing modern wireless networks. It covers key wireless technologies, including RF fundamentals, 802.11 standards, client connectivity, wireless monitoring, automation, and AI. It also tests your ability to implement advanced solutions such as FlexConnect, QoS, multicast, advanced security, and location services. You will also have the opportunity to demonstrate your expertise in wireless network design, from site surveys to high availability and mobility.
The Understanding Cisco Wireless Foundations (WLFNDU) training course is strongly recommended in advance to gain a basic understanding of wireless technologies before pursuing CCNP certification.
