VUCA stands for Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity and describes an insecure, complex, and dynamic environment. Traditionally organized and managed companies cannot cope with this complexity. In addition to the existing "operating system" they have to develop a new one. This does not only concern new strategies and structures, however, as the VUCA world interferes much deeper with the personal experiences and lives of people. A new paradigm is required. For the organization, this means: Is there a culture in which the handling of insecurity, complexity, and dynamics is cultivated? Can the organization access the existing, but hidden resources in the system? How much are organization and strategy able to change? Is the management systematic, transformational, and dialogic? In the course, we make it possible to experience VUCA, make the action fields visible, and provide aids which enable companies to change and get fit for the VUCA world. In addition to the management of system suppliers and IT departments, we also invite experts from HR and organization development.

  • Which agile resources does the organization already have, which ones are missing?
  • Organizational stress test: how prepared is your organization for VUCA?
  • Understanding the Independence of Structure, Strategy, Management, and Culture
  • New Capabilities for the VUCA World: Relation, Contact, Dialog
  • The Task of Management, HR & Organization Development to Get "Fit for VUCA"
  • Transformation on the Basis of the Cycle of Change

Each student will receive the course documentation as well as a documentation, including photo protocol.

Target Group

The course addresses responsible employees of system suppliers (managing directors, executives, and experts from HR and Organization Development), as well as the IT departments of enterprises.
