Cloud Computing I

From Contract Law to a Market Overview

Cloud Computing changes IT architectures and gives rise to many new questions. The course at hand discusses the topic from the viewpoint of its effects in terms of organization, staff, infrastructure, and technical features. After a brief introduction, the overall motivation and the goals are explained. Subsequently, all aspects of the topics contract law, data protection, information security, and compliance will be treated in detail, which have to be considered by both the customer and user when migrating the business to the cloud. In this context, the chances and risks involved are also specified in each case, such as the effects of different laws on data protection and data security. Moreover, the course will show how the IT processes will change after the migration to the cloud and which interfaces and SLAs the provider should offer. A market overview, which is classified according to the different service models, as well as the presentation of the most important providers and and their cloud offers round off this interactive training.
