Palo Alto Networks Firewall Training

FireWall Security Best Practices and Threat Prevention

Palo Alto ATC Logo

Please note: The content of this course replaces the training "Firewall: Improving Security Posture and Hardening PAN-OS" (EDU-214). However, the new training is currently not associated with certification on the part of Palo Alto Networks!

This course will enable you to effectively secure your corporate network by utilizing the full potential of Next-Generation FireWall. Most firewall infrastructures have been migrated from a legacy firewall. However, such migration does not protect the network due to the lack of proper setup of all threat prevention techniques offered by Next-Generation FireWall. Implementing security best practices can be a serious challenge, as it is often difficult to know where to start and what combination of best practices is appropriate for the environment. Therefore, the course not only teaches security best practices, but also the methods to apply them effectively with minimal impact.

Course Contents

  • Introduction
  • Security Profile Revision
  • Daily Operations and Maintenance
  • Establish Initial Baseline Visibility
  • Analyze and Update Security Rules Passing Traffic
  • Inbound Security Rules Best Practices and Analysis
  • Outbound Security Rules Best Practices and Analysis
