An Associate Cloud Engineer deploys and secures applications, services, and infrastructure, monitors the operation of multiple projects, and maintains enterprise solutions to meet targeted performance metrics. They have experience with public clouds as well as on-premises solutions and are able to perform common platform-based tasks. This allows them to maintain one or more deployed solutions that use Google Cloud services managed by Google or the enterprise itself.

About this certification exam
- Duration: 2 hours
- Languages: English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese
- Exam format: 50–60 multiple-choice questions with multiple selections
- Taking the exam:
- a. Take the online proctored exam from a remote location.
- b. Take the in-person proctored exam at a test center.
Prerequisites: None.
Recommended experience: At least 6 months of hands-on experience with Google Cloud.
Certification renewal/recertification: Candidates must recertify to maintain their status. The Associate Cloud Engineer certification is valid for three years from the date of certification. To recertify, you must retake the exam during the recertification period and achieve at least the minimum score. You can retake your certification no earlier than 60 days before its expiration date.
