Please note: On January 21, 2025, CyberOps certifications were renamed Cisco Cybersecurity certifications and now include new AI-related exam topics. The Cisco Certified CyberOps Professional certification is now called Cisco Certified Cybersecurity Professional.
Starting in February 2026, Cisco's CyberOps/Cybersecurity certifications will be renamed CCNA and CCNP. If you have a valid CyberOps or Cybersecurity certification at the time of the name change, you will automatically be recognized as a CCNA or CCNP Cybersecurity certification holder based on your current certification level.
To earn Cisco Certified Cybersecurity Professional certification, you must pass two exams: one covering core technologies and one called the Concentration Exam. Each exam in the program is awarded an individual Specialist certification, so you are recognized for your achievements along the way.
The Core Exam focuses on your knowledge of key cybersecurity operations, including cybersecurity fundamentals, techniques, processes, and automation.
The Concentration Exam focuses on incident response and digital forensics. Incident response is the process of detecting, responding to, and mitigating cyberattacks. Digital forensics is the collection and examination of digital evidence on electronic devices and the subsequent response to threats and attacks.
