Die Teilnehmer lernen dabei, wie die unterschiedlichen Funktionen der Ebenen 2 und 3 in einer VCS Fabric konfiguriert und gemanaged werden. Die Konfiguration und das Management der Ethernet Fabric werden anhand des Extreme Network OS v7.x besprochen. Der Kurs bereitet auf das zugehörige Examen zum "ECS Datacenter VDX – VCS Fabric Configuration and Implementation" vor.
